The STIL protective containers for 1/4" audio tapes (6.3 mm or 6.5 mm tape width) are made of 100% archival-quality polypropylene. The polypropylene is antistatic and does not interact with the magnetic tapes. The development and design of the archive container was aimed at ensuring constant air exchange and balanced humidity inside the container. These special properties prevent an undesirable microclimate from developing in the first place.

The container reliably protects the audio tape from dust and dirt. The clamshell cassettes are suitable for storing tapes/reels up to 27 cm (10.5" format) in diameter. Two additional adapters/cores are included to ensure the tapes are securely held within the clamshell cassette. The container is made from a single piece, is highly flexible, and can be opened at an angle of over 180°.

A sturdy locking flap allows the box to be securely closed. Even if it falls, the container remains securely closed and the tape inside remains undamaged. For better storage of the audio tape, the archive cassette can be stored upright on a shelf.
